Tristan J. Rogers
I am a Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at California State University, Sacramento. I have also taught at CSU, East Bay and CSU Stanislaus. I completed my Ph.D. at the University of Arizona in 2017.
I work in political philosophy, ethics, and ancient philosophy. My dissertation, titled Virtue Politics, brings virtue ethics and political philosophy into conversation. I am currently working on a book based on this work titled The Authority of Virtue: Institutions and Character in the Good Society (under contract with Routledge Press). You can view an abstract of the book here.
I grew up and studied in Canada before coming to the United States for graduate school. I live in Northern California with my wife, Schirin, daughter, and our dog, Argos. In my spare time, I enjoy playing music, some of which you can find here.
